Silver-Oxide Cell: Voltage 1.6 volts

This outside can or anode of this cell is made of zinc. The center post, the cathode is made of silver-oxide (Ag2O). The electrolyte paste is either potassium hydroxide (KOH) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The cost for this cell is higher due to the cost of the silver. Generally these cells are manufactures as button sized batteries. These are not rechargeable. A few of the places these are used are in hearing aids, watches, cameras, and computers.
